About Us : Company Information

Founded in 1996, as Boulder Instruments, Conduant Corporation has become the leader in ultra-fast, long-duration digital recording and playback systems for scientific research, military and instrumentation applications. Conduant offers storage systems that operate at data rates that are substantially greater than traditional RAID based subsystems. Our architecture takes advantage of peer-to-peer protocols that allow direct recording from client data collection environments to digital data storage without the need to pass data streams to host computing systems that add O/S overhead, unneeded file structure handling and extra memory read/write cycles.

Based on StreamStor® technology, the company’s products allow recording and playback performance up to and including 800 Megabytes per second. In addition Conduant has adopted PCI Express to support multi-lane high-speed data transfer between data acquisition equipment and large multi-disk storage subsystems.

Conduant has a growing array of off-the-shelf solutions to meet challenging data recording needs. The company also offers custom design and engineering services for clients with special requirements that push the edge of the performance envelope.

Kenneth R. Owens is co-founder and CEO of Conduant Corp. Prior to forming Conduant, Ken spent 20 years developing hardware and software architectures at data storage companies including StorageTek and Maxtor.
