Traditional signal analyzers, including the powerful N9042B UXA, are limited by onboard memory that restricts how long real-world signals can be captured before processing interrupts acquisition. This bottleneck is eliminated by using Keysight’s Optical Data Interface (ODI), which enables uninterrupted IQ data streaming far beyond the scope of internal memory.
Designed for frequencies up to 75 GHz and real-time bandwidths reaching 2 GHz, the N9042B analyzer generates IQ streams at data rates near 10 GB/s. Capturing and preserving this stream at full speed and resolution requires an exceptionally robust storage system—which is where the StreamStor® Cobra solution from Conduant excels.

ODI is a next-generation optical interface built for ultra-fast, long-distance data transfer between instruments and systems. Supporting up to 150 Gbps per fiber link, ODI is engineered for complex, data-rich applications across sectors like 5G, aerospace, and defense. Support Provided: Conduant’s high-speed recording solutions capture the N9042B ODI data streams over extended durations, enabling accurate analysis of digitized signals.
Depending on your signal environment and test duration, Cobra systems are available in configurations that scale from 25 minutes to over 5 hours of continuous recording at 10 GB/s. Each system aggregates multiple recording modules to keep pace with the analyzer’s 150 Gbps ODI interface—ensuring complete, lossless data storage.
